Pottery

Aurora Stankiewicz-Artist Statement

Pottery is a way for me to slow down and connect with the present moment. With each piece I create, I embrace the unpredictability of the clay, letting my hands guide the form rather than forcing perfection. My background in traditional art and graphic design influences my work, as I explore the relationship between structure and fluidity, symmetry and spontaneity.

I am drawn to organic shapes, subtle textures, and goofy designs, elements that make pottery feel both timeless and personal. Whether crafting a simple cup or a silly paper bag vase, my goal is to create pieces that invite touch and bring a sense of warmth to everyday life. For me, pottery is more than just an art form; it’s an exploration of patience, creativity, and self-expression.

These pots were created to resemble my, and my mom's cats. The one on the right is Mike, and on the left is S'mores.

these were a labor of love. <3

Pancake Jar

The pancake jar was inspired from pure humor, I found a similar product on Pinterest, and it made me giggle, so I knew I needed to attempt to mold it.
